Sheela Kavuri
3/4 cup chanadal
1/4 cup moong dal
2 teaspoons Jeera
5 to 10 red chillies
pinch of hing
Onion shoots
4 tbsp oil


1.Soak the chana dal and moong dal for 5 hrs.
grind the soaked dhals with chillies , jeera and pinch of hing.

2. Microwave the ground mixtures in a microwave bowl for 8 mts with a tbsp of oil.

3. Once the dal mixture cools down , add another tbsp of oil and put it in the grinder for 3 mts.
( the mixture looses its moisture and feels very dry )

4. Saute the onion shoots in 2 tbsp of oil , with seasoning and once the onion shoots are tender , add the ground mixture to the pan.

5. Simmer for 2 mts and take out into a bowl.

Hint : You can use any vegetables , like beans, banana peppers , aloo, etc

I have tried your patoli recipe atleast 5-6 times by now and all the time Its a hit at my place.My friends and relatives loved it and I shared the recipe with them.Thanks again for posting such good recipes.I am yet to try your black eyed pea vadas and few other recipes.Will comment once I try them asap.
